Stormwater Monitoring

From 2008 – 2016, Milwaukee Riverkeeper worked with the UW – Milwaukee School of Freshwater Sciences to monitor stormwater infrastructure for sources of sanitary-sewage contamination in targeted areas of the Menomonee and Kinnickinnic River Watersheds.

Bacteria Community Assessment

The goal of this study is to determine whether microbial community diversity in streams within the Milwaukee River Basin can be explained by water quality parameters and surrounding land use.

Baseline Bacteria Monitoring Pilot

Milwaukee Riverkeeper is piloting a project designed for our current citizen-science monitors to incorporate bacteria testing into the current Baseline Water Quality Monitoring protocol.
